Hans-Sachs-Haus

Gelsenkirchen, Germany, 2013

Hans-Sachs-Haus in Gelsenkirchen is a building built between 1924 and 1927, which is now used as a town hall and has become a landmark of Gelsenkirchen with its distinctive façade. As it is now one of the most important modern buildings in the Ruhr region, and one of the world's architectural gems, care was taken to preserve the façade and only demolish the inner workings during its much-needed renovation. After just over four years of construction, the new Hans-Sachs-Haus has now been completed. The municipality has opted for a number of Brunner furniture pieces in the furnishing process.
