Helmkehof

Hannover, Germany, 2018

In 2012, Helmkehof gained a new owner and was extensively refurbished over the next few years.
Today, Helmkehof is a venue with a very special atmosphere.

In 1889, Gustav Wellmann founded his rubber goods factory in Hanover Hainholz where specialist products were manufactured up until World War II. The company disappeared from records after the war and the building was empty when it was purchased in 1980.
In the years that followed, artists and musicians settled in the former factory. In addition to the Scorpions, who rehearsed in Helmkehof from 1987-1992, Fury in the Slaughterhouse, Marius Müller-Westernhagen and other artists and musicians were all guests in the historical building.

In 2012, Helmkehof gained a new owner and was extensively refurbished over the next few years.
Today, Helmkehof is a venue with a very special atmosphere. Alongside various "residents", including a dance academy and the Kunstfabrik Hannover art school, Helmkehof is also a venue for events, weddings, photo shoots and filming, a wide variety of celebrations, dinners, presentations, seminars and much, much more. The Gustav Hall, courtyard and Helmkeloft's "Salon Paris" and "Loft New York" have been fitted out with modern building technology and audio and lighting equipment. But the old factory's historical character has not been lost.
Brunner's fox shell chair cuts a fine figure in the Gustav Hall, Loft New York and Salon Paris, creating a link between the historical architecture and modern interior.
