Kursaal Interlaken

Interlaken, Switzerland, 2010

Congress Centre

The Congress Centre Kursaal Interlaken presents itself as a building complex rife with history and equipped with the most up-to-date infrastructure. It features a total of 19 rooms, with 3 halls of more than 900 sqm. On 1 May 2010, the new auditorium seating up to 1,200 visitors was inaugurated: the building with its façade of profiled metal plate cladding represents a trend-setting architecture. For the auditorium seating, the operators selected alite, a model fulfilling all the requirements of large venues – longevity, light weight, linkable and stackable. Here, alite was also equipped with the electronic seat numbering system ESN, so that entire rows of chairs can be numbered at the push of a button. Visually as well, the chair with its aluminum frame fits the overall impression, continuing the cool metallic façade concept in the interior of the building.
