Winegrowers' cooperative in Oberkirch – Vinotorium

The winegrowers' cooperative has expanded its facility in Oberkirch. In addition to new bottle storage and a new barrique cellar, the Vinotorium has been established. The "cathedral of wine" forms the new heart of Oberkircher Winzer eG.

At a depth of over eight metres, a very special atmosphere is palpable as soon as you step into the room. As you let your eyes wander from the wine casks stored there and look upwards across the clay wall, your gaze is automatically drawn to the elaborate ceiling construction. It consists of 55 oak beams, starts flat and then leads from a pointed barrel vault to a groined vault. Another highlight is a four-meter-high ground profile that shows the ground conditions of granite, clay, and roots leading up to the vines.

In the centre of the room, the eye can't help but be drawn to a large counter solution featuring Brunner fina wood bar stools with solid oak wood frame and plastic shell in stone, in keeping with the room as a whole. Alternatively, the seating in the room can also be configured flexibly and provides space for 72 people when standard row seating is used. Brunner's halm stacking chairs without an armrest are used for this. Matching the fina wood bar stools, the halm chairs also feature a solid oak wood frame and the seat and back in stone.

The Vinotorium is available for wine tastings and weddings.
