Brunner UK Ltd., our British subsidiary In 2003, David Shirley built up his own little company, which he had founded in his youth, back in 1973, into a joint venture with Rolf Brunner. David Shirley saw this as a step in the right direction for the future because of the multitude of synergies it created. Since then, he has worked as the Managing Director of Brunner UK Ltd. and, together with his three sons, not only established Brunner as a brand for high-value contract furniture but also grown the company into the sector leader in this British market.
Customer focus and insistence on perfection are the hallmarks of Brunner's corporate philosophy. This ethos can also be clearly felt in the headquarters of the British subsidiary, Brunner UK, in Clerkenwell, London's vibrant design quarter. This is where Brunner UK has breathed new life into an old, Victorian warehouse. By retaining the charm of this traditional brick building, the company has created an aesthetically intriguing backdrop to its sophisticated contemporary interior design. The eye is drawn to the huge, dark steel staircase that connects all three floors and binds them into a striking visual unity. A generously proportioned 740 square metre showroom sits comfortably alongside the company's offices and meeting rooms. The conference furniture, multi-purpose chairs and lounge fittings even make an impact when seen from the street. A single glance through the eight enormous window displays and the dramatic glass door is enough. The basement bar can easily accommodate up to 60 guests for events and evening meetings in a relaxed, club-like atmosphere.
