Modernisation to create calm and comfy spaces.

BDO AG is one of Switzerland’s leading companies providing auditing, accounting and advisory services. It is a legally independent member of the international BDO Network, which is active in over 160 countries all around the world. There are 1300 employees working at 34 different branches in Switzerland alone. 

One of those branches is located in a 30-year-old building in Solothurn which was in dire need of an upgrade in its lounge areas and meeting rooms. And so the decision was made to redesign the interior concept. Each room was given its own vibe and purpose using various pieces of furniture for sitting or standing, colours, light and a combination of concrete, stone and glass. Ceiling sails, wall absorbers and a soundproof curtain were incorporated to get the acoustics spot on in every space. 

With the cafeteria being used for multiple purposes like client and staff events, training sessions and breaks, it was divided up into different zones.

Brunner furniture ticked all the right boxes – the colours even matched the acoustic features perfectly. But which furniture exactly? The A-bench, A-chair and A-lounge from the A-collection, banc upholstered easy chairs, break side, bistro and standing tables, bar stools from the crona bar, crona light bar and fina bar ranges and hoc standing gable tables combined with hoc bar stools for an understated effect. The multifunctionality of PARA VERT is shown off in all its glory too as a room divider and a planter.
