New Business Development Manager Australia

Our latest addition to the Brunner Asia Pacific team.

This week, we welcome our new Business Development Manager Australia, Benjamin Jones, to our growing team.

Ben has worked in the industry for many years and gained invaluable experience. We are incredibly excited to welcome Ben to the Brunner APAC team!

To learn more about Ben and his motivation to join the team, we asked him some questions about his new position...

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.
A: Well... I love travelling, exploring new cultures, surfing and wildlife. I grew up living all over the world because of my parent’s work. Whilst travelling my mother's passion was to learn from the culture wherever we lived. She discovered her love for hand knotted rugs when we were living in Turkey and my interest for interior design began shortly after that. I’ve had the privilege to work in the industry for more than a decade with incredibly talented interior designers and architects.

Q: How is your experience at Brunner Asia Pacific so far?
A: My experience has been incredible in all aspects! I have so much support from the team in Singapore, Hong Kong and Germany. I’m looking forward to working with them closely to build a strong foundation for Brunner in Australia.

Q: Is there a specific reason why you want to work for Brunner Asia Pacific?
A: I would say there are multiple reasons spanning from the great team, beautiful range of products and an opportunity to build the brand in Australia. Working for Brunner feels like a total package.

Q: As your new position as Business Development Manager, which tasks will you be taking care of?
A: As the BDM I’m responsible to connect with designers across Australia, oversee projects and installations, and to build awareness whilst growing the business. I’m looking forward to exhibiting the craftmanship and quality in the Brunner range for the upcoming Australian projects.

Q: What will you be adding to the team?
A: I hope to bring my passion for design, love for architecture, and my entrepreneurial mindset to the team. I’ve learnt the psychology and behaviour behind design from some great interior designers and architects around the world in which I look forward to incorporating into Brunner Asia Pacific.

Q: Lastly, what is your favorite product of the Brunner portfolio?
A: That is a tough question there as so many... The A-chair I think is a brilliant and unique design. It’s got very clean lines and a beautiful structure. The Berlin Congress Center is an excellent example of how the designer used the back on the A-Chair to match the wall colour - so the chair may hide in the background whilst drawing your attention to centre stage.
