The greater Dresden metropolitan area has developed into an excellent research environment, particularly for the automotive industry. For the automotive supplier Eberspächer, based in Esslingen, it was thus a logical step to build their new exhaust system production facility in Wildruff, Saxony, near Dresden. The overall planning from the first idea through the start of operation was put into the hands of Berlin architectural office DIA 179. Between March and December 2011, the office has designed and realised a production facility that looks similar to a wheel rim and which takes into account the most recent findings of production planning. The colour concept of the building interior gives a modern impression while at the same time serving as orientation system. Brunner products. 32 four-legged fina chairs provide a high degree of seating comfort. They have been combined with 16 central column tables from the we_meet series, featuring a white HPL table top surface. Particularly fresh: the two- coloured fina plastic seat shells, featuring a white front and a lemon yellow back. The furniture is complemented by chairs from the prime series with a seat shell made of stamped oak veneer, combined with central column tables featuring a slate grey HPL surface. For occasional informal talks or a cup of coffee after lunch, several bar stools and standing tables from the we_walk series are ready to serve. Moreover, in the cafeteria‘s outer area there are 12 yellow plastic twin chairs equipped with armrests as well as four matching outdoor tables.
