Headquarter HP Inc. and HP Enterprise

Meyrin-Satigny, Switzerland, 2017

High tech vs. comfort and style

At the European headquarters of this IT giant, employees enjoy a smart yet cosy working atmosphere.

The vast product range and many variants mean that we, as designers, can respond individually to any sector of furnishing.

CCHE, Lausanne, Switzerland

The new office building, home to the European headquarters of both HP Inc. and HP Enterprise, is located in the industrial area of Meyrin-Satigny on the outskirts of Geneva. It is the first building to be completed on The Hive high-tech campus, an IT cluster near CERN and the airport that will be home to eight buildings offering a total office space of 60,000 m2 over several years. As the first international company, Hewlett Packard set up camp here back in 1968 with around 600 employees.

The reception areas for both companies can be found opposite one another on the ground floor. This level also houses a restaurant, a coffee bar, a professional kitchen and a multi-purpose hall. The upper floors are prime examples of the open-space concept with open working areas, meeting rooms of various forms and sizes, e.g. telephone booths, privacy rooms with greater sound insulation and traditional meeting rooms, etc.

The zones between the offices and high-traffic areas have been given a more relaxed feel with crona seat groups. A combination of armchair, lounge chair and sofa, together with matching lounge table, create stylish, different coloured meeting places whereas in the cafeteria, and meeting and work alcoves, crona light, with its white plastic shell, ensures easy-care practicality.

Wood is a theme running through all of the crona models and the fina bar stools as the frame material and this is continued in the hoc high tables. However, more formal meetings around a conference table take place in the A-chair, the multi-award-winning plastic stacking row chair.
