Canteen Extension KfW (bank)

The Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau is a promotional bank under the ownership of the Federal Republic and the Länder (Federal States) – employing some 3,300 staff at its Frankfurt headquarters. At the beginning of 2010, the company restaurant was renovated and enlarged. For all three areas, restaurant, bistro and lounge, Brunner products were selected by the responsible architectural studio JSK Architekten.

A clear requirement that the furniture had to fulfill: it was to be low key in design but still characteristic. It should go along well with the factual architecture. And there should be an appropriate table series to go with the chairs. But it wasn’t only the formal language that tipped the scale in favor of Brunner: the series milanolight and cross were found to be convincing thanks to their high seating comfort and their numerous functional advantages. This is quite welcome to the employees using them every day – and to the employees looking after maintenance and cleaning.
