In the modern world of work, there’s a focus on creating surroundings that inspire creativity, promote collaboration and simultaneously respect the individual flexibility that many have come to appreciate while working from home. Quiet areas are a crucial aspect of the return to the office. They ensure productivity, confidentiality, health and the general well-being of employees. But it simply isn’t possible to permanently include them in every space. This is where innovative and flexible solutions are needed so that open space concepts continue to work without having a negative impact.
What’s called for is a simple, useful, appealing and resource-friendly way of creating self-contained areas for a telephone conference, focussed individual work and uninterrupted team meetings. With that in mind, we’re proud to present foild – an extendable room divider that opens up new possibilities in a few simple steps.

From the very beginning, we liked atelier oï's transdisciplinary approach on how they look at themes and materials and develop new ideas. This is how something quite unique and extraordinary could evolve. It was magical.

The team’s notion of rethinking interior design and Brunner’s openness to engage resulted in a back and forth of creative ideas, needs analysis and suggested solutions. The initial result of this highly promising collaboration is an innovative screen that is revolutionising the working environment.
Instead of having a briefing, we brainstormed: What do current workplace trends require? How can we respond to this? This went back and forth, with both sides contributing. That's how the foild concept was created.

foild impresses thanks to its universal character and can, without doubt, be used in a wide variety of environments beyond agile office landscapes and new work environments. It fits just as well in public spaces, at events and in the education and healthcare sectors. The room divider is a wall that isn’t a wall. That separates, but more importantly, that connects. foild can be positioned anywhere in the space, enabling flexible room design to suit individual requirements. Its subtle, slender design creates an open and light atmosphere.
foild is the ideal solution for efficiently zoning workspaces in modern office settings. Open and private spaces can be created to allow for focussed work and encourage teamwork.
The folding partitions are available in a low and tall version (160 cm or 190 cm) so that foild is always the right height – for sitting or standing, for individuals or groups. This versatility unlocks maximum creativity in making use of the available space. Premium fabrics are held between curved aluminium bars, providing privacy on both sides and the option of adding a splash of colour. They optimise the sound and ambiance, while creating a much-needed sense of homeliness in the business environment. Thanks to the harmonious choice of colours and materials, the room divider fits in perfectly with any interior style. There are so many inspiring design options ranging from coordinating to contrasting.
